We have a four-year plan worth 350,000,000 laris for implementing the following projects in Tbilisi:
Rehabilitation of Gorgasali Boulevard - As part of this project, we would build a recreation boulevard on the right bank of the Mtkvari River from Abanotbani to the Ortachala hydropower station. This would add nine hectares of green area to the city and would attract youth to the historical part of the city. We would also connect the left and right banks of the river with a pedestrian bridge. This would create a new pedestrian-only route which would be beneficial for the environment in the neighboring areas and attractive to tourists. We would allocate 150,000,000 laris to this project.
Narikala Castle rehabilitation - The project includes the restoration of the southern citadel, which is of strategic importance and value. The restoration would encompass the whole route from the Tower of Istanbul to the so-called Small Door to the Botanical Garden. The project would highlight the importance of protecting this monument and make it an active tourism destination and source of sustainable income. We would allocate 10,000,000 laris to this project.
Restoration of Baratashvili Wall - This project includes eight different buildings, of which seven are cultural heritage assets. As a result of this project, the historical defensive wall of Tbilisi would be preserved and connected to the previously restored Pushkin and Orbeliani squares. This project would improve living conditions in these areas and raise the value of the real estate. We would allocate 35,000,000 laris to this project.
Overhaul of Sulkhan Saba and Ingorokva Streets - We would completely renovate twenty-four buildings as part of this project. This area is an important part of central Tbilisi with unique architecture and an active tourist zone. The project would improve residents' living conditions and overhaul dilapidated communication infrastructure. It would also make the area more attractive to tourists and raise the value of the real estate. We would allocate 84,000,000 laris to this project.
